“Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them”

Richard L. Evans

No child can thrive and growth without access to adequate nutrition. Whilst our long-term goal is to ensure children who receive help at Angels Care can receive a wholesome meal daily, we currently have a weekly feeding program that provides food for at least 250 children. Every Saturday morning the children flock to the Centre to enjoy their peanut butter and jam sandwiches, fruit and yogurt. They also each take home a small food parcel to eat later or to share with their families.

Our Saturday morning feeding programme recently moved from the side of the Old Main Road to the Angels Care property. This move has brought about lots of new and exciting activities including being able to provide the children with access to water, ablution facilities, and basic health care from our volunteer nurses.

In addition to the Saturday morning feeding program, all pre-school children, as well as those that attend aftercare are provided with a nutritional meal daily.
